Robert F. Kennedy

Where life is an approaching wind
And death a departing wind.

As in a twilight or a dawn
Where the very light is missing.
As in an expectation
With the unbridled structure
Of the word in equipoise.

Suspended in this vacuum
Unruled by gravity
Where the footsteps have lost their direction
And the struggle its victory.

In the muzzle of the gun's threat
This sudden turn
From the orgy of success
To the shadow of eclipse.

Where death is an approaching wind
And life a departing wind.
